Spectrum analyzer pyro element wavelength sensitivity

Software

[edit | edit source]

Server

[edit | edit source]

The server component of the spectrum analyzer runs on the pc felsax. Its netgate is read by the program Spectrumd and propagated to MQTT.

Operator client

[edit | edit source]

Allows changing of server parameters, such as:

  • choice of grating
  • reference channel
  • offset
SA operator client

Allows user to view FELIX spectrum, allows limited control of spectrum analyzer (position), allows user to save data to local pc.

SA user client

SA data viewer

[edit | edit source]

Allows user to review captured spectrum analyzer data, export to CSV possible.

sa_dataviewerFelix.exe

Each FELIX shot is recorded by the server program, and saved on felixdisk. This data is freely available on the share \\hfmlfelixdisk\hfmlfelixdisk\data\fft\spectrometer (science credentials required). The software SA data viewer can also be found on the same share. Please note that a BASH script on lilo (/home/feloperator/fix_spectrometer_permissions.sh) runs every night at 04:44 and sets the previous day's files and directory to readonly.

Currently, this software is found at \\isolator\lare-rinst\Felix\Felix_prg\UserInterface\sa_dataViewerFelix.exe

Calibration

[edit | edit source]

Reduce gun pulse width to make a low-power ! pulse, set spectrum analyzer to zero, and set number of center channel of the spectrum as reference channel.

Installing the subsystem software

[edit | edit source]
  • install labview 2011 x64 + device drivers
  • install prerequisites from \\isolator\flare-rinst\User Software Installation\Drivers\CAEN Digitizers\current\required
  • copy this folder \\felixdisk\felix1r\FFsoftware\SA_felix\SA_flx_64bitsLV2011\builds\spectrumAnalyzer to c:\SA
  • connect 2x USB for CAEN digitizers
  • connect GPIB to spectra pro
  • run saSubSystem\saSubSystem.exe
