From HFML-FELIX Wiki
LabVIEW uses cameras using the GigE Vision standard. We have several types listed in order of age (oldest first):
- Leutron Vision PicSight P34M-GigE
- JAI Ltd., Japan CM-030GE
- Allied Vision Technologies Manta_G-031B (E0020014)
The Leutron and JAI cameras can remember their name using the non-volatile memory of the camera itself. The Manta cameras cannot. NI-MAX will issue a 'random/sequential' name to each Manta cam. It stores these names in text files in the Public folder. Therefore, to keep the name of Manta cams identical across computers, you could copy the predefined files from this location S:\Flare\NI MAX camera definition files' to C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-IMAQdx\Data on new or newly installed computers.
