MIOO = Measure-It Object Oriented

[edit | edit source]

This program is a homebuilt data acquisition program, built in Labview2017 that can be used to acquire scope traces while scanning external devices, such as the FELIX/FELICE wavelength, or certain delay generators.

Source code

[edit | edit source]

Source code is available at https://gitlab.science.ru.nl/jmbakker/mioo

Note that it is compiled using Labview 2017, 32 bits. Do NOT use newer versions, as that will bream compatibility with older hardware.

Available instruments for scanning

[edit | edit source]

Bestec

[edit | edit source]

Variation of the vertical or horizontal position of the entire Felice Molecular beam instrument. Communication via network, governed by entry in the *Instruments\Bestec.ini* file:

[Bestec]
address=192.168.114.13
port=20001
maximum value description
Horizontal +100 Felice Molbeam out-of-focus
-183 Felice Molbeam in-focus
Vertical -32.9
-22
safe values
Vertical -30 molecular beam overlaps with FELICE

NarrowScan dye laser, manufactured by Radiant Dyes

DG535

[edit | edit source]

Stanford research systems delayg generator, model 535. Communication via GPIB.

port=65510

Essentially a do-nothing scan: take data while varying nothing, or varying something by hand

QC9520

[edit | edit source]

The quantum Composers delay generator. Should be connected to a serial port, and an entry in the *Instruments\QC9520.ini* file:

[QC9520]
COM=COM19

Known issues

  • all values in seconds

Stepper =

[edit | edit source]

A stepper motor attached to the FELICE Molbeam instruments that drives a slit in and out of the flight tube, thereby screening the ions that have not interacted with FELICE. Hardware built at Rijnhuizen projects 1795 / 1842. Currently hooked up to the fourth axis. Communication via network, governed by entry in the *Instruments\Stepper.ini* file:

[Stepper]
address=192.168.114.99
port=10001
local_port=23
default_axis=4
maximum value description
In +14000 completely in
Out 0 set this manually
safe values
Overlap 13000 molecular beam overlaps with FELICE
