Moving the FELICE diagnostic station (DS) from one end station to the other

[edit | edit source]

stuff lying on top of the DS (power meter readout Molectron, National Instruments GPIB ethernet converter, & flip mirror controller) can come along. If you handle things carefully enough, they won't fall off.

  • close N2 line on wall (left of gas cabinet + 19" rack FELICE vacuum systems)
  • switch off power supply array detector (19" rack with FELICE vacuum systems, lowermost power supply, green led is 'on')
  • disconnect from feedthroughs on the diagnostic box:
    • power cord 220 V
    • swagelok gas line (nitrogen, hand tight only)
    • DB9 male powering array detector
    • DB9 female connecting the spectrometer control RS232 to FELOCE pc
    • lemo connecting the pyro inside the DS to the control room
  • disconnect from stuff lying on top of the DS:
    • yellow RJ45 connector NI GPBI ethernet device
    • RG58 cable providing trigger for power meter readout
    • (you can leave the lemo cables in linking the power meter to the power meter readout on top, they can come along)
  • The DS is now free. Use either the crane or a 'hondje' to transfer it to the other end station. Mind the JAI camera on the molecular beam side!
  • Hook up all cables. DB9 & network cables are available fixed on both end stations; power cord probably, too. (Trigger cables to be detailed later)
  • Switch the manual RS232 switch on top of FELOCE pc (19" rack with FELICE vacuum systems) to the desired station
  • re-power the array detector
