Warm-up

  1. Start program E-source, click Request master, then set operating mode to Enable full heating.
  2. Start program Klystron, click Request master, then set mode to Red heated.
  3. Warm-up takes approx. 20 mins.

Beam optics

  1. Start program Beam optics and Vacuum, click Request master,
  2. Goto Vacuum, open Valves 1–3.
  3. Goto Magnets, turn on solenoids, steerers, dipoles, quadrupoles.

Load settings

  1. Start program Total recall, from tab Recall, select proper settings and click Recall to apply.
  1. Push Release buttons on FLARE console for BEAM and RF.
  2. Start program Safety, click Request master, then click RESET.
  3. In Klystron, click Request master, then click RESET.
  4. In Klystron, set mode to Enable HV power supply. Wait until Current mode is HV power supply on . RF Preamplifier should be ON.
  5. In Klystron, set mode to Activate HV output. Actual voltage should ramp up.
  1. In E-source, click Request master, then click RESET.
  2. In E-source, set operating mode to Enable HV power supply. Wait until Current mode is HV on, 0 kV.
  3. In E-source, set operating mode to Activate HV output. Actual voltage should ramp up.

Beamloss monitor

  1. Open VNC connection to oc-control
  2. Open Beamloss Monitor FLARE.

Timing

  1. Open Timing System.exe
  2. Set S1 Pulse length to 2 µs.
  3. Set FELIX start pulse to 10, for a reperition rate of 1 Hz.
