At the end of 2020, the attenuator box at the flare diagnostic station was made to be remotely controlled. Mechanics project P002,(at the moment also a folder at ffg2), has the following specifications:
- The box has 6 different attenuator grids that dim the incoming laser light: 3 dB, 5 dB, 10 dB, 10 dB and 10 dB.
- Operation air pressure: 6 bar.
- Estimating moving mass max: 0,5 kg per grid.
- Cilindertype: DSNU-8-10-P-A (FESTO), 8 mm cilinder, extimated force 18 N, stroke 100 mm. See file: Data Sheet DSNU cilinder
- Position sensor: SMT-8M-A-NS-24V-E-2,5-OE (FESTO), magnetic reed sensor.
