- Receives 'alive'-signals (a bit in data block 1 is toggled [one for each alive signal] via the OPC server)

From the documentation: "The BLM (RSS) and FCSs give a pulsating alive signal. These systems are considered alive if neither the low nor the high level of the signal persists more than one second."
